BSC Wins The 2010 Marconi Cup

Glandore Sailing Club entered two teams, Crookhaven entered two and Schull entered one team. Baltimore entered two teams into the team racing section and two teams into the relay racing (four teams in total 26 sailors). The team sailing practice over the past number of weeks in Baltimore Harbour paid off...
BSC won all three sections of the event - The Relay Race - The Team Event - The Overall Highest Points Prize (Marconi Cup), and we took home all three trophies. This is the first time since the beginning of the event in the early 1990's that any other club has won this event other than Schull sailing school.

RACE RESULTS
The Fireball 2010 National Championships took place at Baltimore Sailing Club, County Cork, on the 27th - 29th August 2010. The event was a great success with 24 boats competing on the water over three days of racing with nine races completed in the series.
