RACE RESULTS
The Fireball 2010 National Championships took place at Baltimore Sailing Club, County Cork, on the 27th - 29th August 2010. The event was a great success with 24 boats competing on the water over three days of racing with nine races completed in the series.

Sailing history has been made... Irish team of Antix (Anthony O'Leary BSC & RCYC) Mariniers Co ve (Dave Dwyer BSC & RCYC) and Roxy (Rob Davies) sweep the boards at Cowes.... Well done lads!! ANTIX top individual Boat and Mariners Cove Runners Up.

The annual R.N.L.I. Auction takes place in Baltimore Sailing Club Friday 6th August. The auction is organised in conjunction with Declan Tiernan (Chairman Baltimore Lifeboat) & Margot O'Flynn (Chairperson Baltimore R.N.L.I fundraising committee).

Sloops, Sports Boat, and Cruiser Racing
Our team of 26 junior sailors from BSC traveled to Glandore last Saturday and won the 2010 Marconi Cup outright. BSC took home all THREE trophies and swept the boards by winning all sections in the championships.
This year’s Irish 1720 National Championships are to be held once again in Baltimore, West Cork from 9th to 12th September. This year’s event is set to attract in excess of 20 boats and the competition is getting tighter than ever with a good fleet racing through the Winter and Spring out of Crosshaven in Cork.
The ISA is delighted to announce this award as it gives us the opportunity to publicly recognise the contribution our ISA Training Centres make to sports in Ireland. The winner will receive an award at the ISA National Conference and Awards Dinner in March 2011.

The Heir Island Sloops held their 'World Championships' in Baltimore this weekend (26th 27th June). 15 boats took part under race officer John Crotty.
The annual ‘Introduction to Sailing’ course which is for children between the ages of 7 and 11 takes place from 19th to the 23rd July this year. Places are limited so I would encourage you to apply early if you are interested.
This year 'Wednesday Night Club Suppers' booking's will be taken in the club house on Saturday afternoons onward - after Saturday Sailing and Prize Giving.
The Bank Holiday Weekend of the 3rd and 4th of April saw the Munster Laser Championships visit Baltimore Sailing Club. The event was a great success again this year, with over 135 boats competing in the two day event.
