CLUB POSITIONS 2012

CLUB MANAGER

Suitably qualified applicants are now invited by Baltimore Sailing Club for the position of ‘Club Manager’. This role requires a friendly demeanour along with a variety of skills including but not limited to, organisational, catering, purchasing, bar work, cleaning, and management. Previous experience of catering, bar work, and managing people would be an advantage. This position is open to candidates who are available from Wednesday 20/6/12 to Sunday 9/9/12.

SENIOR SAFETY BOAT STEWARD

Suitably qualified applicants are now invited by Baltimore Sailing Club for the position of ‘Senior Safety Boat Steward’. Applicants for this role must have the following in-date certificates; Safety Boat, VHF, First Aid. A full driving licence is also a requirement. Previous experience of people management would be an advantage. The July position is open to candidates who are available from Wednesday 20/6/12 to Sunday 29/7/12. The August position is open to candidates who are available from Monday 30/7/12 to Sunday 2/9/12.

CLUB STEWARD POSITIONS

Baltimore Sailing Club are now inviting applications for a number of ‘Club Stewards’. These roles require a variety of skills including but not limited to,organisational, catering, bar work, cleaning, and a friendly demeanour. Candidates applying for this position should be available for some weeks between Monday 2/7/12 and Sunday 2/9/12.

SENIOR SAILING INSTRUCTOR

Baltimore Sailing Club are now inviting applications for the position of ‘Senior Sailing Instructor’ (ISA accredited). Applicants for this role must have a minimum of the following up-to-date certificates; ISA Senior Instructor, National Powerboat, VHF, and First Aid. Managing and coaching Sailing Instructors both on and off the water will be a requirement of this role. The July position is open to candidates who are available for the period Saturday 30/6/12 to Sunday 22/7/12. The August position is open to candidates who are available for the period Sunday 5/8/12 to Sunday 26/8/12.

SAILING INSTRUCTORS

Baltimore Sailing Club are now inviting applications for a number of ‘Sailing Instructors’ (ISA accredited). Applicants for this role must have a minimum of the following up-to-date certificates; ISA Instructor, National Powerboat, VHF, First Aid. The July positions are open to candidates who are available for the period Sunday 1/7/12 to Friday 20/7/12. The August positions are open to candidates who are available for the period Monday 6/8/12 to Friday 24/8/12.

You will be aware that Instructors applying to teach at any level above level 3 now need to have completed additional training courses, as laid out by the Irish Sailing Association. SAFETY BOAT STEWARDS

Baltimore Sailing Club are now inviting applications for a number of ‘Safety Boat Stewards’. Applicants for this role must be 17 or over on the 1/7/12 and have a minimum of the following up-to-date certificates; Safety Boat, VHF, First Aid. Candidates applying for this position should be available for some weeks between Monday 2/7/12 and Sunday 2/9/12.

For all positions advertised, the Club especially welcomes applications from members who have shown a willingness and ability to work on a voluntary basis for the club in the past. As a large number of applications are anticipated for some positions, short listing may apply, and applicants may be interviewed by a selection panel.
