Our team of 26 junior sailors from BSC traveled to Glandore last Saturday and won the 2010 Marconi Cup outright. BSC took home all THREE trophies and swept the boards by winning all sections in the championships.

This year’s Irish 1720 National Championships are to be held once again in Baltimore, West Cork from 9th to 12th September. This year’s event is set to attract in excess of 20 boats and the competition is getting tighter than ever with a good fleet racing through the Winter and Spring out of Crosshaven in Cork.

Racing for Keelboats, Ruffians, First 21s, Cork 1720’s and Hare Island Sloops 29th, 30th, and 31st July 2010

The following trophies are to be contended: Chez Youen Cruisers Trophy, The B J Marine 21s Trophy, Munster Ruffians Championship, Field Cup Hare Island Sloops Trophy, and the Fahy Cup for 1720’s (series sailed on 30th and 31st), The Baltimore Sailing Club 1720 Championship cup (series sailed on 29th July).
